The wellness guide for your new home office lifestyle

For millions of us around the world, working from home and social distancing have suddenly become part of our daily lives. For some, this may be easier than for others, but there is an adjustment period for all of us and we all need to pay attention to our health and wellbeing.

1. CREATE A ROUTINE

If you are not used to working from home, the first and most important thing is to create a daily routine. This will help you stay focused and motivated, whereas getting up every day with the uncertainty of what to do or how to spend your time can be quite disappointing.

Treat the days of the week as you normally would: get up and get ready for the day, set aside time to work, eat, exercise and rest, as well as cook and clean. If you don't have much to do or are working much less than usual, try to find other ways to be productive, such as learning something you've always wanted to learn, taking care of things around the house, or starting that project you've always felt like you didn't have time for. Staying focused will help you avoid boredom and allow your mind to drift off into times of worry and anxiety.

On the weekend, relax a little and allow yourself to step away from the routine you have created for yourself, allowing for variety and separation between weekend and weekdays. Take the weekends as they come, with little planning, and just allow yourself to do what feels right.

2. BE KIND TO YOURSELF.

It's important to remember that this lifestyle change isn't easy for anyone, so don't be hard on yourself if you have days where you're not feeling motivated or a little down. 3. SEPARATE WORK FROM PRIVATE LIFE

If you've never worked from home before, it's important to set boundaries early on. 5. TAKE CARE OF YOUR MIND AND BODY

A good diet, including exercise in your daily routine and getting enough sleep are more important now than ever and will help you feel positive and stay healthy even while working from home.
