THE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
ROSE WATER, ROSE ABSOLUE AND ROSE HIP OIL
While it may seem that rose extracts are a one-size-fits-all ingredient, each form is taken from a different part of the plant and therefore has a different skincare benefit. Rosehip oil, extracted from the seeds of the plant, contains vitamin A, which soothes dry and inflamed skin. While rose absolute is extracted from the petals, it is known for its relaxing scent and firming properties. Rose water, made by steeping rose petals in water, has been used for centuries to treat skin conditions like eczema and rosacea for its anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties.
CUPUAÇU BUTTER
Cupuaçu is a tree found in the Amazon rainforest and is the national fruit of Brazil. The fruit of the tree contains a pulp that contains cupuaçu butter, a plant-based alternative to lanolin that can cause allergic reactions in some cases.
Cupuaçu far outweighs the ability of lanolin and even shea butter to absorb and retain moisture, holding up to 440% of its own weight in water.
Cupuaçu butter removes dirt and debris, while its well-known moisturizing properties combined with rosehip oil leave the skin smooth and supple, restoring the skin's natural moisture and elasticity.
POMEGRANATE ENZYMES
Pomegranates have been used in medicine and skin care for centuries. They contain proteolytic enzymes that act as natural and safe exfoliators to remove dirt and debris accumulated on the skin's surface.
We recommend leaving the cleanser on the skin for one minute while the enzymes cleanse the skin deep down and bring new skin cells to the surface.
REISHI AND SHIITAKE ENZYMES
